Welcome to the
North Pinellas Woman's Club
Our
Purpose
The GFWC North
Pinellas Woman's Club, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization
dedicated to education and charitable purposes. The
club attends to the diverse needs of the community through
hands-on service, funding, education, leadership and
friendship.
Our
Roots
We were founded
on July 9, 2003 by a group of members of the GFWC Clearwater
Junior Woman's Club, Inc., an organization that has
been serving the Clearwater community since 1955. Both
organizations are members of the Florida Federation
of Women's Clubs and the General Federation of Women's
Clubs.
Our
Members
We are a diverse
group of women in the "40's and up" age bracket
who share a dedication to improving the community and
having fun! Our members include teachers, medical professionals,
homemakers, elected officials, corporate employees and
retirees. Through this dedication to service, ideas
are exchanged and nurtured, leadership skills are developed,
and lifelong friendships are formed. If you are interested
in making a connection to your community, making new
friends and ready to have fun, the GFWC North Pinellas
Woman's Club is for you.
Teens Can Catch the Volunteer Sprit, Too!
As adult community volunteers, we also encourage local teenage young women to volunteer. Teens can sharpen their leadership skills, put their creativity to work projects that benefit children, families and our own community. Juniorettes are also dedicated to self improvement and have fun while helping others and making life-long friendships. GFWC Clearwater Juniorettes meet in the evening on the second Thursday of the month. They are sponsored by the GFWC Clearwater Junior Woman's Club, GFWC Clearwater Community Woman's Club and the GFWC North Pinellas Woman's Club. Community women are always invited to join these groups also. The clubs are members of the GFWC Florida Federation of Women's Clubs and General Federation of Women's Clubs.
